MONTESSORI CURRICULUM

Since much of the learning process is self-directed, children can gain a sense of independece and confidence in their abilities much faster than in a tradtional school setting; Students who experinece a Montessori Classroom tend to be more able to manage themselves and think independently.

She is considered to be one of the foremost pioneers of education in the 20th century.  Her method is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative experiences.  Children are free to creatively pursue their learning choices, while highly trained teachers offer appropriate activities to guide their process.
